As the legend goes, Richard Canfield, the one-time owner of the Saratoga Clubhouse (later known as the Canfield Casino) and “once the best known gambling resort proprietor in the country,” per the New York Times, was the first to use casino chips, long before anyone ever did in Las Vegas.
Rental Information
Fees are based on a 5-hour event. Ceremony is not included in the 5 hours. If the event runs longer, an additional $250 per hour is required. Only checks are accepted. Deposit of $500 is due for all events (except lunches) upon reservation. Balance due 2 months prior to date of event. Lunches by special request. Deposit for lunches $250. Balance is due 1 month prior to date of lunch.

- Parking is limited to approximately 60 cars
- The Canfield Casino’s maximum capacity is 220 for a sit down dinner
- Casino Dimensions: Parlor – 37 feet by 64 feet, Bar – 21 feet by 64 feet, Ballroom – 92 feet by 56 feet
- Insurance Requirements
There is a $1,000,000 liability insurance certificate required and the City must be named as additional insured.
